Following an energizing 2022 conference, Building Belonging: Advancing a Global and Inclusive Pennsylvania, PACIE is pleased to be hosting its 2023 conference — Building Bridges for Global Learning — on Friday, October 13 and Saturday, October 14 at the University of Pittsburgh, with a focus on the creativity, commitment, and partnerships necessary to advance global learning throughout the Commonwealth.
Educators at all levels, K-12 through graduate study, as well as students and community members working and/or studying in global education and those working in non-profit organizations, are welcome to propose presentation sessions and posters that promote global education at home and abroad. With continued emphasis on place-based learning, sharing our assets, fostering belonging, and supporting students' understanding of their home communities in connection with global destinations, the 2023 conference will highlight rich networks and resources available across the Commonwealth and in Pittsburgh. As the field of global education, Pennsylvania, and the broader community confront a new normal, these challenges present opportunities to create impactful, sustainable, and inclusive global learning for all Pennsylvanians.
